08:04 NT *Lehman Says Applied Materials Offers 'Exceptional Value' (AMAT)

Thanks.
I was trying to find out why it was trading strong after issuing such a "cloudy" forecast.

The exceptional value idea was what this thread was discussing yesterday. Considering that all those that wanted to downgrade it have already done it, it is hard for this stock to take much of a hit at this point.
That is, all the negatives were already priced into the stock.

The company might actually surprise people in the coming quarter and that could lite a fire under the stock. That is why investors won't sell AMAT here; I am not going to.

Hopefully the CPI won't be that bad this morning.
The value argument makes it a great buy!

I think many are coming to that conclusion today.
