Talk Visual Announces Installation of New Switch; Launches Resale Program for Carriers & Businesses
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2000-- Company To Offer International Terminations At Discount Rates
Talk Visual Corporation (OTC-BB: TVCP) President and CEO Eugene A. Rosov announced today that the Company has completed the installation and testing of its fully featured NACT/World Access telephone switch. The equipment was installed at the Company's headquarters location at 3550 Biscayne Boulevard.
The new switch allows the Company to offer a broad range of prepaid and postpaid services domestically and internationally. The Company's first switching activity is the re-routing of its New York/New Jersey traffic into the Biscayne location switch. The Company's Chief Technical Officer Pedro Sanchez commented on the installation that: "The new Biscayne location switch will allow us to use least-cost routing for all of our calls. With Sprint, Teleglobe, Telpan, Link-Net and several other carriers, we'll be able to deliver calls for our own businesses - and any other business - with excellent quality and guaranteed termination."
According to Mr. Rosov, "We believe that we will be able to compete very effectively in the voice telecommunications transport marketplace. In fact, some of our negotiated pricing is so cost-effective that I believe we will be able to resell key destination countries to major carriers. We are in the process of negotiating what may be millions of minutes of traffic with other carriers. This switch gives us control of our own voice telecom destiny, just as our RADVision MCU/Bridge equipment gives us control of our videocall destiny."
Talk Visual's Sales Director, Enamullah Khan, said today "we are exceptionally pleased about the presence of this new switching equipment at headquarters. I'm sure that we'll be able to offer low-cost, high-margin voice traffic, on a prepaid basis, to every telephone call shop in America. Given our incredible rates to Latin America, I expect that we can become the premier carrier for small businesses - and add very substantially to our bottom line. Before the end of November, we'll be starting our approach to every large and small telephone call shop in America."
