This has gotten to the point where my wife and I are having conversations like this.

<SE> - Well the Secretary of State refused to accept any additional counts.

<TE> - Yeah, and the Democrats are accusing her of abuse of power.

<SE> - Seems to me that that is a bit premature. I would think that you would need to know the reasons specifically given by the counties and you would need to know the legal basis of the Sec. of State's opinion before you could decide whether or not she abused her poower.

<TE> - I heard Gov Bush signed a hand recount law in TX.

<SE> - Yes, but I also heard, but have not read it myself, so with that caveat, I heard that there are objective standards written into the TX law.

<TE> - Interesting that we have not heard anything further about the "illegal" ballot in PBC.

<SE> - It apparently has been determined to be a legal ballot so that talking point has now been dropped.

<TE> - How can they then rip the Sec of State prior to knowing the basis of her opinion?

<SE> - Talking point. There really is no justification....

<TE> - Hear Gore suggested a manual recount for the entire state of FL.

<SE> - Yes, I heard that.

<TE> - Wonder why he thinks that he and Gov Bush can decide what FL ought to do regardless of what their laws are about the recounts.

<SE> - Geez, beats me? <g> He must be desparate.

..and the beat goes on....and on....and on.....
