Paul, welcome back from the future: <Intel's additional I/O processors that they sell with their Pentium Pro Servers.>

I said what I meant. Now look at your quote:
<-Feb. 3, 1997--Intel Corp. today announced it has
started sampling a new, higher-performance I/O processor>
Feel the difference in the tense?

From your future, could you ease my troubled mind, how Intel CPU handle all the messaging layers for their innovative I2O architecture?
I would suspect that for such a powerful I/O peripheral processors even any 486 could handle all the data streams, with no need in 533MHz Pentium-iii.

Happy future tradings,
