But will the absentee's be enough to make up for the LARGE number of votes gore will get in PB? My guess is Gore wins in court to have the handcounts included and he will gain bigtime in PB.
The thing that bothers me about this election the most is not the hand counts. I am all for a fair election. I do believe that each and every vote counts, and should be counted, even if by hand. What I object to strongly, is the subjectiveness of this hand count. In the past, if it wasnt 110% clear who Mary meant to vote for, it was tossed, as it should be. Now, in the middle of the game, instead of tossing the questionable ballots as how it's been done in every single election, gore decides that he would prefer that bob dick and harry try and decide how mary meant to vote. This is just wrong. if it is not 110% clear who a vote was meant for, it should not be counted....but that is not the case. In PB, they will decide how folks meant to vote, and last I looked, this was still america and I don;t think john is supposed to look at my ballot and change my vote because he "thinks" my intent was to do something else....especially so, when John has a vested opinion of his own to cloud his judgement as to what my intent was.
this election is a sham.......if both parties only concern is to have a fair vote and let the true vote decide the outcome, then they need to toss this sham of an election out the window and simply have a new one. It will be the largest turnout ever, and then we will surely know who the people want. I know this is far fetched and probably not possible...but why not....if they can drag this out in courts for weeks, certainly they could put together another election.......this time, it would be interesting. Huge turnout, with lots of bush votes going to gore and gore votes going to bush. Sort of like a jury hearing a cse and then deciding. that is what we can do...we have seen both parties true colors...we can probably make the most objective opinion at this point in time simply because we have seen more of the facts.
anyway...just some rambling thoughts.........waiting on the naz to get going!!
