Dominick, I do about the same thing you do with my QP EOD data. I also convert it to ASCII so I can import it into Windows on Wall Street. That process creates files that show the symbol. My point is that you may want to consider this ASCII conversion, even though you may not actually use it, just to let you see the symbol. The process takes maybe 90 seconds on my machine. Of course, I don't do all 10,000 as I'm not interested in that many. I do a "pre-scan" that gets rid of all preferreds, warrants and stocks below $5, etc. That ends up giving me around 3000 symbols.
