One thing that stands out to me re Day's reputed anti-Jew stance......If he does indeed take the bible literally, then he definitely would not be anti-Jew. It would be completely the reverse. The bible embraces Jews. There's a big conflict in the Day/anti-Jew statement. As for abortion, let me say as someone who was adopted that there's NO excuse for killing an unborn child in any circumstance. Maybe if our leaders and parents encouraged responsibility...... Day's Christian background should be of no consequence. Would anybody ever dare to knock a politician for having a Muslim background in this country? Or Jewish? For that matter, Chretien could be a devil worshiper but he'd never say so unless he thought popular opinion was swinging that way. At least the public has some idea of where Day stands.
