I read all the posts from last night. Victor I don't know what your up to, but I have pretty much come to the conclusion that you are not posting, in the spirit of constructive criticism, and cooperative brain storming, but rather are trying to make your points at the expense of others, through creating an atmosphere, of doubt, division and humiliation. You also are not much of an authority on Avanex, if you are not familiar with the basic concepts behind Avanex's approach to creating a switch less open optical network. If you had bothered to read the literature on Avanex, you would know that the way Mr. Cao plans on differentiating the light, is through wave lengths. I agree with others, the demand for broadband is great, as presently innovation and current products are hampered in their development and use, because of lack of bandwidth. Like I have said before the creation of this high tech infrastructure is critical, for it will allow for the instantaneous sharing of all kinds of information. Hence research facilities around the world could be cross correlating all nature of info. in real time. They could holographically project their modeling work, as a way to help all, visualize results. If the world as a joint project, worked on developing the fuel for the future, research facilities around the world could access all the unused computing power, lying dormant, through such a network. Victor this is the beginning of the roll out of the George Jetson age, This is the only optical co. out there, that I know of, who has the foresight to take the industry to the next level, an open system with virtually no switches to create bottle necks. The difficulty in these optical equipment stocks, is picking the ones that will make it through the weeding out process. I think Gilder makes a good point, go with the better physics, science, the world will come around. Avanex's Cao has blazed a bunch of trails, and has the patents or patents pending to secure the beach head. I feel I have taken a prudent approach to the over valuation issue, by limiting the amount of shares I presently hold. Victor, I don't claim to be anything other than a seat of the pants investor, just trying to figure things out, I don't need to treat others like dirt inorder to do that. I do appreciate your input regarding over valuation, but I don't need someone telling me how to think, and humiliating me, if I don't follow what you have deemed as the party line, that should be followed. Let the best thoughts win the day, let the content of the message, be the determining factor, not brow beating your fellow poster.
