Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. I switched from the classic interface to the new and have been using ">" (and Enter) to navigate to the next post, as you suggested. It is very smooth, and much appreciated.
I still need more keyboard commands to work through posts with the least effort. These I can provide for myself with a simple macro program. With it I can go from the Subjectmarks page > Macro keystroke > link to the first unread subject's first message > Enter (or >) Next unread messages... > Macro keystroke > back to subjectmark page. But this will work only if the links to the first unread message, and to the "Subjectmarks" page, are presented at the same xy coordinates of the page every time. At this time, in the new interface, in IE5.5 on my machine, they are. The fact that the "next"and "next 10" links are not, isn't a problem because, of course, I can hit Enter.
Due to a slight coordination problem in my hand, I have somewhat more reason to use macro-aided keyboard navigation than others. But there may be a few techies or people with some disability out there who are trying to use macros. If it makes no difference to you where you put these links on the page, here's at least a small reason to consider putting them in a consistent location in every rendition of the page.
