There are low barriers to entry against ALL of these 4, but there is one problem that raises the barriers:
Name recognition.

This, alone, is one reason why the barriers are very high. Everyone is able to recognize who these 4 are. Priceline is probably the LEAST recognizable.

As a result, 3 of the 4 have solidly placed themselves at the top of the heap, with the 2 most succesful already profitable....
Oh, yeah, those profits make another barrier to entry, because they are still pretty slim.
