Mr. Trapp's pick is Advanced Digital Information Corp., a Redmond, Wash., maker of data-storage software. Although technology stocks in general have taken a beating in recent months, "the whole storage area is very attractive," he says, noting that Advanced Digital is growing at a rate of about 30% to 35% a year. The company has "great management, great service capability, great technology," he says, adding that receivables and inventories are "pretty lean" and the company has almost no long term-debt.
