Nice try on the translation but you are doing a word for word, translation rather than using the English phrase that captures what was said.
Actually, I thought the wording was fine and I think the concept of offering gifts for referals, which works in the U.S., would work even better in Brazil.
My rendition:
"Your friends can't wait to have a phone like yours"
Only those like you, that have a Globestar, know the security, comfort and the business (opportunities) that it can provide.
Therefore, there is no one better than you to indicate friends and acquaintenceships that have the same need: to go beyond a cellular phone.
If you know other people like this, tell us before November 30. More than just a simple thank you, Globstar will make a point to please you whith a wonderful gift, of your choice: A complete fishing kit, a week end barb-que set, a handsom Diskman, or a beautiful Fondue set.

So yeah, it sounds better in Portugese and not that bad in English either. Mant years ago a standard phone line could be bought and sold for 4 to 5 thousand dollars. Calls were so cheap that the phone company could not expand service. Things have changed, I would hope, with privatization.
Own no stock in GSTRF or LOR nor am I short. Just don't think this is such a bad add for Brasil and inded for Latin America. Do not think it is good idea for the U.S. as people that can afford a Globstar are not going to be interested in a free gift. |
