Joe, Re..You know that I very much respect your opinion on matters AMD related, but I completely fail to see what impressed you about Gore speech.<<<

I do not know about Chuck, but I also felt Al had the better position; And I would hardly be called a fan of Al's.
There were several points Al made that made sense. 1) Count all of the state of Fla. and no more lawsuits. It makes a lot of sense; with one caveat. Count all of the state, both republican and dem. counties and eliminate all excuses of unfair count. If the rep. can't cheat as much as the dem.s are, that is their problem. After the county votes are in and certified, then open overseas ballots.

2) No more lawsuits by either party. Fine with me. All of the other states, Wi. New Mex. Iowa and Or. all had bigger margins than Fla. plus if GW loses Fla. he would have to win every other state. Highly unlikely and Bush would be seen as the one dragging the election out. Why not bet on a hand you are winning so far. Even if GW loses, he will be seen as a gracious loser and have a good chance of beating Al in 2004, especially if we have a recession before then. Also AL won't get a lot done because both houses will be rep.

3) I think it is a good idea for both sides to come together, get this resolved, and let us get on with our life. Having the loser back the winner would help immeasurably and it would be good politics.
