UBS to Exhibit At ITU Telecom Asia 2000 in Hong Kong

11/16/00 -
UNIQUE BROADBAND SYSTEMS INC ("UBS-V;UBSBF-L") - To Exhibit At ITU
Telecom Asia 2000 in Hong Kong

UBS to Demo its Mobile Video Transmission Solution to Asian Marketplace

Unique Broadband Systems, Inc., a leader in high-speed mobile and fixed wireless
transmission solutions, announced that it will exhibit its products and technology at the
ITU Telecom Asia 2000, Asia's largest telecommunications trade show, in Hong Kong
from December 4 to 9, 2000.

"Asia 2000 is the perfect forum for reaching industry leaders from the 49 countries that
make up the Asia-Pacific region, which represents the world's single largest
telecommunications market, with access to more than two billion people," said Alex
Dolgonos, President and CEO of UBS. "All major carriers, service providers and
broadcasters from this corner of the world will be in attendance. This show represents an
excellent opportunity for us to showcase our products and demonstrate our technology to
the decision makers who will build the infrastructure required to provide access to
information and other interactive services not presently available in this area on a large
scale basis."

The UBS booth (No.5722) will feature some of the company's traditional fixed wireless
transmission components, including a QAM Regenerating Processor used in fixed
wireless video transmission and a transceiver used in fixed wireless Internet applications.
At the booth, UBS will present a product demonstration involving mobile video
transmission. This demo will be similar to the system that was recently supplied by PTV,
a wholly owned subsidiary of UBS, for deployment by Television Corporation of
Singapore as the world's first mobile digital terrestrial-based T.V. service, which is
scheduled to begin broadcasting television programming to Singapore buses by
mid-February, 2001.

"As a result of our contract with Hong Kong Cable, the appointment of Wireless
Broadband Solutions Limited of Hong Kong as our exclusive sales agent in Hong Kong
and China and an enhanced distribution and sales channel provided through our
acquisition of PTV, UBS has placed a more concentrated sales and marketing focus on
the Asia-Pacific region," said Alex Dolgonos. "With a limited wired infrastructure in this
area and our fixed and mobile wireless transmission solutions designed to deliver voice,
video, data and other forms of multimedia, including bi-directional high-speed Internet
and other interactive services, such as video on demand, the opportunities for UBS in this
region on a go forward basis are significant."
