I have basically given up trying to predict where this sector is going. I listened diligently to the NVLS, KLAC, LRCX, AMAT, and BRKS conference calls and have come to the conclusion that this "cycle" still has a significant way to go but the "street" obviously disagrees with my view. In many ways it was easier to "understand" the drop in the prices of these stocks during the asian debacle. Everyone could see that there would be a a significant slowdown in the sector. Here, we have too much noise and controversy among these so called analysts. Half of them (or more) are trying to talk the sector down. The balance seem to be saying that it's a good time to start accumulating. What amazes me most of all is that for the most part quarterly earnings estimates are being increased or at the very least, they are not being significantly decreased. It would seem that these analysts who are predicting doom and gloom would be decreasing their estimates significantly if they truly believed in their opinion.

P.S. I'm getting tired of all this election nonsense and I think the majority of people feel this way.
