BTW, Rose ... I'm getting email from people I don't know who've been forwarded what I wrote to my friend (R/L) in California originally from London of your "British humour on Election" post here ... they LOVE it! LOL! SO GLAD you posted that!
... as the chaos continues ... ya know, between the various entities who control the wealth of this country, one could believe that the intent is to put all of us on 'welfare' ... checking out the late day action on the NAZ.
Because, after all, once we all become 'discouraged' from 'speculating' (or investing, perhaps?) in companies that power this great capitalistic nation via direct or indirect manners (401Ks, etc. of the people employed by the great U.S. (and Canadian) corporations --> companies forced to lay off employees whose 401Ks have been cut 60 percent --> need to find jobs to pay the bills --> companies ain't hiring; quite the contrary --> mortgages foreclosure eventually for many --> nobody to sell houses to ... values drop therefore ...
So: here, they become unemployment recipients or go on Welfare.
Very nice, Mr. Greenspan ... you are rather serious about protecting the wealthy, ain't ya? Who can afford to 'earn' shitty interest on your T-bills, notes, etc. Paying 4%. No risk ... pays 'the losers' Welfare; keeps the wealthy in power.
Ya got it or ya don't.
