Now your ignorance is overflowing. The little chads won't dislodge smoothly unless the rims of the chad-hole (is that a term?) are supported. That's where the votamatic is needed along with a stylus. Anything else would bend the card up like an origami crane. The count is in full view of observers and in many cases recorded on film. There is 40 years of history with these voting systems and bad as they are you really have no reason to make up things about them.
