No change in guidance going forward. Guess the market was looking for some positive juju. In case you didn't hear,
Florida Supreme Court weighed in before allowing the recounts to continue. This will hamstring the market tomorrow as Bush was the preferred winner with the absentee ballots probably increasing his small lead. With PBC, dade and Broward recounting, there is a strong chance that Gore will overtake him. I think the results get appealed by the Bush team as "unconstitutional" due to the prejudiced democratic weighted counties being recounted. They will ask for a statewide recount by hand (6 million) and will probably get it. From there, who knows, Florida's electoral votes probably don't make the Dec12th deadline and Congress appoints the next prez through a vote. What a joke.
