Hey polvie,

You could substitute two quarts of beer or ale in place of the water, but only if it is placed in a frosty mug of some sort.
I Consulted with a close and leading authority of fine brew drinking, and he suggests that perhaps a cup of pretzels in a dish and on the side a small bowl of salsa or dip would compliment the non-concoction as well as a cup of dry roasted peanuts. It would entirely depend on which team is playing and if it is a Sunday or Monday night game.
