cnetinvestor.com - S&P MidCap 400 component Forest Laboratories (NYSE: FRX) will replace Seagate Technology (NYSE:SEG) in the S&P 500 Index after the close of trading on a date to be announced. S&P 500 component Veritas Software (NASDAQ:VRTS) is acquiring Seagate Technology. The transaction is still subject to shareholder approval. National-Oilwell Inc. (NYSE:NOI) will replace Forest Laboratories in the S&P MidCap 400 Index.
