If you "..Have Brain - Will Travel.." (sometimes just across town), here's all the jobs you'll ever want.

For those who might prefer consulting/contract assignments vs: employment, subscribe electronically [$25/year(+/-)] to Contract Engineers (and Techs & Softheads, etc.) Weekly. You get complete access to the jobs database as a paid member - and some as a guest. The staff is "..the most righteous bunch of folks.." you'll ever meet. Note: CEW is a jobs database service - no fees, etc. involved.

ceweekly.com

Put your resume on their system, and let 2000+ contract shops nationwide - that advertise with CEW - find work for you; in your area or on the road.

Member firms (shops) scan the CEW database daily to find candidates for domestic and foreign positions.

Contract engineering (and/or tech-ing) is one step away from being self-employed, paycheck every week, O/T is paid for as O/T, and you ain't involved in the BS office politics.

Works for me (15+ years doing nothing but), wouldn't have it any other way. Beats the hell out of the "..BS HR-touted company benefits.." you can't eat before or after you're laid off (..and you'll still get insurance, vacation, holidays, etc..)

John :-)

ps: For the terminal "..droid..", contract-to-direct (..ugggh, yecccch, patooooey..) is these easiest way to get in anywhere.....
