Agile Announces Record Second Quarter Results, Revenues Up 192%

Beats First Call Estimates as License Revenues More Than Triple

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ --
Agile Software Corporation (Nasdaq: AGIL), a leading provider of collaborative
manufacturing commerce solutions for the electronic supply chain, announced
today financial results for the fiscal year 2001 second quarter ended
October 31, 2000. Total revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2001
increased to $20.2 million compared to total revenues of $6.9 million for the
same period in fiscal 2000, representing an increase of 192%. License
revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2001 increased to $15.2 million from
license revenues of $4.7 million for the same period in fiscal 2000,
representing an increase of 225%.
Pro forma net loss, which excludes charges associated with the
amortization of deferred stock compensation, the amortization of goodwill and
purchased intangible assets, and payroll taxes on stock option exercises, was
$642,000 or $0.01 per share, beating the First Call consensus estimate of a
loss of $0.02 per share. This is compared to a pro forma net loss of
$2.1 million or $0.07 per share for the same period in fiscal 2000.
Net loss, including all charges related to acquisition, stock
compensation, and stock option exercises for the quarter ended
October 31, 2000, was $14.1 million or $0.31 per share in the second quarter
of fiscal 2001, compared to a net loss of $4.3 million or $0.14 per share for
the same period in fiscal 2000.
The net loss per share and number of shares used in the per-share
calculation for all periods presented reflect the two-for-one stock split
effective March 17, 2000.

Second Quarter Highlights
Agile made significant gains during the quarter in terms of signing new
customers. Agile's customer base grew by 66 new customers in the electronics,
medical device and semiconductor industries. New customers included
Adept Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADTK), a leading manufacturer of flexible
automation for the telecommunications, fiber optic and semiconductor
industries; Avanex Corp. (Nasdaq: AVNX), a manufacturer of photonic processors
for the communications industry; Chomarat, the European leader in glass,
aramide and carbon reinforcements for the composites industry;
Kyocera Wireless Corp. (NYSE: KYO), one of the world's leading wireless phone
manufacturers; Marconi (Nasdaq: MONI), supplier of advanced communications

NVIDIA Corp. (Nasdaq: NVDA), a global leader of performance 3D graphics
processors; Polycom, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM), a worldwide leader in broadband
