I don't know which is easier following the election 'fixing' or the T/ATHM evolution.

With T's announcement today of their intention to spin off Liberty it is safe to assume they will not be divesting themselves of their 30% stake in CableVision. Call me concerned, but had that been the case a muse would have been that Cox or Comcast may have been interested in buying them.

According to some, this may happen anyway.

The concern generated is that a larger C or CC then in possesion of Optimum online might consider that 35% to @home is a luxury they may not need, especially if they are flush with a new billion+ from exercising their $48 warrants. They could grab all the cash, offer BB through the Optimum name that CV started when they decided to screw ATHM. They could still profit from ATHM growth, if they thought it worth while through buying back a huge number of shares on the open market. All they need is 6 month notification come Jan. 1, 2001...not that far away. The question then becomes does ATHM have enough growth potential between now and then to make such an exercise look foolish and are the potential benefits to C or CC worth their staying in the T/ATHM fold?

Thoughts welcomed.
