I have seen some talk in the press that the market is reflecting an increasing consensus that there will be some kind of recession in the next few months. Personally, I think that we have seen a decade that was not "recession free", but that contained various recessions running alternately among sectors and groups of sectors. It doesn't appear that biotech has been spared in the past, and the recent .com shakeout would have to be counted. Still, a general recession has not been seen in several years, and can certainly have negative overall effects on public psychology and the markets in total.

Anyone have any thoughts or predictions?
