This week's edition of Emerging Company Report marks the first show of our fifth year on television!
Hollywood, CA-Emerging Company Report is the nationally syndicated television program profiling emerging-growth companies (http://www.emergingcompany.com), featuring informative interviews with the CEOs, insights into their operations and outlooks for their futures.
Featured companies on this week’s edition include;
eLEC Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: ELEC) CEO Paul Riss described eLEC as a local telecommunications company that seeks to take advantage of the convergence of the current and future competitive technological and regulatory developments in the Internet and telecommunications markets. “eLEC specializes in providing a bundled suite of telecommunications products and services to local telephone customers”, said Riss, “Our customer-first approach, which utilizes the Unbundled Network Elements Platform (UNE-P), allows eLEC to achieve rapid growth with high margins by leasing existing circuit-switched equipment.” The company expects to have 300,000 local access lines in service by 2002.
Denmans.com, Inc. (OTC-BB: DNMN) CFO Douglas Bolen spoke of the company’s online jewelry retailing business , which earned them the distinction as One of the 300 “Best of the Web” in the September 25th edition of Forbes Magazine. Denmans.com does not actually stock inventory, choosing rather to locate within Los Angeles’ downtown jewelry district. “This gives us access to over 10,000 jewelry manufacturers”, said Bolen, “which also gives us the opportunity to provide lower prices to our customers, while still maintaining a healthy profit margin”.
Larry Eastland, Chairman of Grand Slam Treasures, Inc. (OTC-BB: GRST), reported on his company’s completion of two acquisitions, including Kim Vision Tech, Inc., “which operates the largest Internet-based music portal in Asia”, said Eastland.
