*OT* If they vote according to partisanship, yes, they will overturn. If they vote according to the law, it is hard to see them overturning the decision. (my point) The statutes in Florida clearly give Harris the discretion to accept or reject...it is a heavy burden of proof to claim that she didn't use her discretion (even though one can suppose she is being partisan in her decision)....Discretion means having a choice; so the Demos main argument "she didn't use discretion because she rejected the manual recounts" isn't good enough.

Given their dedication to the law, I think the odds favor them upholding the lower court decision..Also, the process in appointing Supreme judges is fairly independent in nature, so they are not as totally partisan as it would seem. I grant that anything is still possible.

BTW- The US Dollar is also important for US stock markets. There is a lot of foreign money in our market. The election result may effect the dollar in a greater fashion, and that will, ultimately, make a difference (too) for the U.S. markets....if the U.S. dollar goes, the markets are really in trouble...
