I agree. I would change my odds from 70% Gore to about 60% Bush at this point. I think there is a reasonable chance that the Florida Supreme Court will stick to well established legal principals, but the possibility that they will find a way to reverse the ruling also exists. Assuming the ruling stands, I expect Gore to keep counting anyway, and then claim he was cheated. I do not expect any conciliation, and I expect a very hostile and partisan 2 years in congress, following which I would expect that both houses would become Democrat controlled. Being a fan of gridlock, I don't think this would necessarily be a bad result. Of course if it so partisan that the Republicans remain sufficiently united to push through their agenda even with their very narrow margin, that wouldn't be good, so I hope it isn't quite that partisan.
