Welcome to the thread, Solon. You're right about the net tax take from smokers. I stand corrected. The point about the undesirability of one group subsidizing another still stands. Also not included in the equation are the health costs of second-hand smoke and the aesthetic aspects. -g BTW, did you ever find the replacement for your deity that you were seeking? I still suggest that your mighty battles atop the mountain were a figment of your imagination. ;)
