OT: Zeev, It's quite amazing --- as the court ruling in florida was read, the nasdaq went from (-15?) to +30+ at the point when the key phrase emerged. It seems to have settled back a bit now. Dow did the same then. OT : As a foreign spectator, I now agree with your statement that state wide manual audited recounts for FL, NM, OR, Iowa seems the only way to salvage any dignity left in the american electoral process. In the papers, I keep seeing someone state accusations of 'vote-tampering' in the US and that has got to make every dictator in banana republics gloat in his sleep. Edit : how about trying to raise funding for an interesting idea : a central computer driven web-based nation-wide voting system with industrial strength tamper proof, verifiably correct counting system? Should be a cinch to raise 20M for a first round? SbH
