Thus far 170 stocks have come forward with negative guidance, just 100 shy of last quarter and the pre-announcement season does not typically kick in for another 3 to 4 weeks... (From briefing.com today) I hope we get a conclusion to the election soon, because I'd love a decent bounce in tech that I could short before Q4. Bush should let Gore have the presidency for the "sake of the nation". He'd be almost assured of re-election 4 yrs from now. Let Gore try to undo the Clinton "legacy". It's going to be a tough, ugly market for the next 4 years. Don't get me wrong I still want Bush to win, but it would be fun to see Gore sweat through the next 4 years of economic chaos.
