Dealer, I find it hard for Gore to keep pushing this thing. The setback this morning makes the chances of losing at the FLA Supreme Court too high for Gore to continue.

Even though he wants to do the right thing, he must be under a lot of pressure from the Democrat leaders in the Senate and Congress to give it up. If he stops, there is a good chance that at the next election, Democrats are going to pick up a lot of support.

I would bet that the Democrats would take the house and senate next election and they see this as an opportunity to show how Bush got in with the help of his brother in Fla (indirectly).
Democrats are going pick up a lot of support. If however Gore fights it out and even wins, the Democrats will not have a good image among the public and consequently not make gains in public opinion.

That is why I feel the odds are very high for him to concede today. If he wants to file an appeal, he probably has to in a few hours but I doubt it.

You never know--but I sure hope these guys take the longer term outlook into consideration. I think everyone wants it over and Gore will just be under too much pressure to concede.
