Back on the internet after a few days off. I think part of my message was obliterated (there seemed to be a line on top of another line but I didn't do anything about it. Being a cautious investor for the most part I usually look at recommendations from my broker (although I am taking a more active role in picking stockse a stock such a book value (tangible - ?meaning inventory and stock on hand), so I was wondering if there was a stock analysis book that you know of to assist me in my knowledge base. I have seen on other threads technical analysis but it is Greek to me and I guess I don't have much faith in the numbers since the market is run by emotion in a lot of cases.
Bell was recommended in Dick Davis Digest (which is a newsletter that scans analysts newsletters for recommendations).Ihave perused many issues from a friend and have tracked certain ones that appeal to me [emotionally (?) and seeing that they are down so much is also very appealing]. I see some recommendations, follow them and some have fallen 50% and then I'm really intrigued. So much for that analysts projections!!!
This is also a stock that I could believe in, in that it is an area I see continuing to grow and they seem to be expanding internationally.
Sorry for the rambling. I tend to do this when nervous (confused, not knowing what the heck I'm talking about). These are the only times that I have actually responded on a thread after lurking for the past couple of months.
Thanks for your assistance and good luck with your move! We found it quite hard to settle back into the Canadian pace of life and the changes in the education system (so much focus on evaluation!!)
