In the rule of the jungle (business world), none of this matters. In a contest between the gorilla and the chimp, the gorilla will occupy any space it wants. True, if the the 10 lb. chimp gains a pound, the growth rate is phenomenal compared to say when the 500 lb gorilla gains 25 lbs.

But, it would virtually be impossible for the chimp to gain enough weight to displace the gorilla, no matter how you spin the mathematics.

This may sound too simplistic for you, but we have to have some way to explain these things to analysts like Joe Osha and Drew Peck.
