Lexar just settled an ongoing lawsuit with Sandisk which seems to result in the possibility that Lexar has a successful workaround of the '987 Patent. In fact, Lexar may be able to license their own Patents and unique controller technologies without any obligation to Sandisk at all resulting in another revenue stream. Lexar is already growing enormously quarter after quarter, and the only obstacle I saw (the Sandisk litigation) has been resolved.

After it is all said and done, it is my view that Lexar won the litigation with Sandisk even though Lexar must pay a net of $6 Million to Sandisk. The fact that Lexar's technology has been validated

A buyout from Sony is also not out of the question as Sony is already cozy with Lexar. Sony licenses Lexar's controller technology for their popular Memory Stick. I wouldn't be suprised if Sony made an effort to acquire Lexar's controller technology through a Buyout of LEXR.
