Is the Q-Logic switchblade going to become just a module that pops into any device that routes or switches data packets, WDM, ATM, etc...A module that spreads Infiniband, FC, Storage over IP, """"FABRIC"""" across the Internet? I see WDM units with this, having huge advantages. Like I have mentioned here before, in my vision of an "Infiniwave Director."

I heard something about a 32 Port FC Asic. It reminded me of an earlier post on this thread: It would be cool to see something like this coming about. A 32 Port ASIC could become the building block for quite a system.
