KREM is trying to "do" 60 years worth of pent-up expansion as fast as humanly possible, right now, with the proceeds of the I.P.O.

Then why are they relying entirely on their franchisees to do all the expansion for them? "In fiscal 2001 [ending January 28, 2001], the Company anticipates opening approximately 22 new stores under existing agreements, all of which are expected to be franchise stores." BTW, that's an expansion rate of 15%. Compare that to "fossilized" OSI, which increased the count of its steakhouses (not counting its other restaurant brands) by a mere 13% in 1999.

Anything else?
