Well in a county that votes 2:1 Democratic, I would expect there to be more Democratic dimpled chads than Republican.
Personally, I don't believe dimpled chads should be counted at all. I would say two corners minimum must be detached probably with some other restrictions. But the point is.... there are no statewide uniform criteria and what ever criteria is being used in these Democratic counties is arbitrary and determined by Democrats. This entire process (to have even a semblance of fairness) has to be taken out of the politicians hands (Dem and Rep) and put in the charge of a non partisan commission that could/would administer a state wide recount with uniform clear criteria. Barring something along those lines, the recount may be legal but it can not be fair. You didn't answer my previous question along these lines. I'm still waiting. In you opinion... Fair??? Or just Legal??? Also, while you're working on that one, I'd like your opinion on another one. It was claimed that the three precincts in Dade county that were hand counted to determine whether or not there was sufficient cause to hand count the entire county were 20:1/20:1/ and 50:1 Gore. I believe they determined that from all the un counted ballots in those precincts that Gore picked up about 6 votes (maybe something like 8Gore/2Bush) based on careful hand examination to determine intent on previously un counted ballots. If this is all true, do you believe that was sufficient cause to ask for a county wide recount (300+ precincts) in which the overall margin was maybe 56/44 Gore???
