To all: Stressgen in the US: "STRESSGEN BIOTECH CP [ OTC : SGBXF ] ". On Oct 20, I posted a web site which showed quotes and trades for a company with the above name and ticker symbol on the Over-the-counter Bulletin Board exchange in the excited states. quote.fool.com StressGen's Investor Relations gave an answer about this which reveals some of their regulatory activities in the US. The NASD established the OTC Bulletin Board as an electronic inter-dealer quotation system. StressGen's securities are eligible for quotation on the OTC Bulletin Board because it is now a reporting company under Section 15(d) of the Exchange Act (i.e., must file annual reports with the SEC and furnish copies of certain documents to the SEC on Form 6-K). StressGen does not have to register itself to be quoted on the OTC Bulletin Board. Instead, an issuer is quoted on the OTCBB after it is sponsored by a market maker that completes a Form 211. The OTCBB does not impose listing standards (in the way you and I think about them) and does not maintain relationships with quoted issuers. In fact, as is clearly the case with StressGen, many companies that are quoted on the OTCBB do not know that they are being quoted.
