Don,

How many times does Amcc have to come out and reaffirm guidance? I've seen David Rickey on CNBC, they were at a multi company tech conference and analyst meetings.

They pre-announced good earnings in the summer and the market got it wrong and wouldn't even believe David Rickey when he tried to defend the company after the stock was sold off then either... until earnings came out.

Should (would it even help) David Rickey spend his time trying to support the stock price in the short term? In this market, news lasts a few hours.

I'm satisfied with their guidance and feel they've done enough guiding to soothe long term investors. Anyone who knows the company and has done their homework should understand why it's so volatile (capex issues, slowing economy, financing trouble with the clecs, mix of customers, analyst downgrades and not the least of which... valuation).

I understand it's such a bummer getting whacked like this, but I'm not sure reaffirming guidance is going to do that much.

I've made some good money buying amcc when it's down. I have no idea if it drops more, but should we be down another $12 or so, I'm in there buying again... with the idea that even that may not hold but in a couple years I'll be happy.
