Strikes me as anti-american for the state to control the womb ... also anti-mexicana, anti-polish, anti-female-from-anywhere.
I just re-read that piece three times and still fail to see her reference of your accusation 'defending on the grounds of world hunger', sorry ... though it could be interpreted that way, sure, if you like ... in the rich societies from which we post, hunger is much less a factor in the lives of unwanted children than neglect, i would expect ... fwiw, i've had considerable to do with this, and have been able to help counsel a number of young women away from abortion, and to help provide substantial concrete help for them ... and that doesn't mean just money, time and effort are more crucial imho ... i abhor abortion, as i abhor the act of threatening the rights of the woman faced with the decision ... have the state dictate and all you'll do is return it to the back alleys, lend a hand in a real way and you'll accomplish something. |
