I am unaware that anyone has mentioned the history of the true Chad from world war II. Everyone, I suppose, remembers Kilroy --- who as always there, but among communicators there was another character -- Chad -- who appeared in punched paper tapes in teletype machines. He was a funny looking dude, looking over the edge with his nose hanging down. + - .U only with the U uprights continuing over and turning down over the "+" and "-" sign. I can't type it. Whenever anyone drew Kilroy, they made him look like "Chad" but it was actually Chad.
