Thanks for your comment George, some ideas you generated with the "one day wonder" remark have led me on an interesting chase through XAU charts over the last 20 years.

Fractals baby, FRACTALS!

I've found some interesting patterns which I need to correlate with some associated external factors and flesh out.

So far it looks like a base here is possible, with a spike down of 5 to 10% also possible. Believe it or not, a decent bull in gold is likely to start within the next few months.
(I can see the eyes glazing at a hundred screens now, LOL!)

Actually, a few days of chart work and noggin thumping will be required before I can give this call a decent probability, ggg.

With the chart TA plus their greatly lowering costs and increasing production, I expect AEM to be a sector leader whenever that Gold Bull happens.
