Sun saw this coming and Scotty says dot coms aren't any major part of the
cow. Sun isn't as reliant on dot com expansion as one might assume.

Sun's venture fund even, should weather this shakeout okay. They're pretty
selective with the business models they sign on with. Hypothetical
eShit.com with 'burn rates' doesn't cut it for Sun and never did.

Sun's big value proposition isn't made to .com entrepreneurs. It's made to
bricks and morter companies who want to use TCP/IP to better their supply
chain and improve other productivity metrics; not to throw long for .com
spin-offs.

That perception is probably creating a great buying opportunity here.
Yeah, we're selling picks and shovels to the miners (and they'll be lining
up still), But, the area of focus is global industry. One should not
forget where Scott McNealy comes from, and where he's focused.

Scotty's not out golfing with Jeff Bezos.
