If you want to start comparing each side's partisan attack dogs, I would definitely give the edge to the Republicans:
Alan Simpson, Orrin Hatch, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Peggy Noonan, Hannity, North, on and on and on and on and on and on. (And I'm not even including the likes of Burton, Barr, Gingrich and the rest of the Dixie congressional right-wingers). When I listen to the radio anymore, all I get is a steady stream of right-wing vitriol. The allegedly erudite Ms. Noonan had no qualms at all about telling Arkansas-incest jokes during the height of the Clinton impeachment proceedings, even when she knew her speech was being broadcast by C-Span. I have no use for people like that. |
