Mary Matalin was obviously correct. There weren't 19000 disenfranchised voters in Palm Beach county. She indicated that when a voter realized a mistake, they were given a new ballot and became part of the 19000 vote count.

If 19000 votes for President in Palm Beach county were rejected by the voting machines for multiple votes, then you would think that there would be a substantial difference in the total number of votes cast for President and the Senate race since most wouldn't also screw up their Senate vote.

From the Palm Beach webb site, the numbers are very close.

Total votes for President - 432,286
Total votes for Senate - 435,638
