Reply With Miami Dade back in the hunt for dangling chad, the election may be tilting away from the Republicans. Their calls for closure, their motions to suppress, their partisan denials of extensions are making them look pretty desperate and pretty much on the wrong side of wanting to see the right thing done and pretty much making themselves look like they are players from an Alexander Haig wet dream about taking power without regard to following any understandig of the Constitution.

Maybe tilting away? The Gore heist is now sanctioned. He doesn't really care whats fair he wants to win at any cost. His BS about the will of the people is a smokescreen. At least GWB staked out a principled path and is ready to accept its ultimate consequences.

The "right thing" is at the very heart of this debate. Do we let a biased minority electorate that probably bears little resemblance to the remainder of the US electorate decide who will become President - I guess so. Perhaps there will be many Pork Presents for PBC Once this dirty deed is done. Please refrain from claiming what is right in an open question. <g>

Now, to pull in Al Haig - you know that the best qualified person to give an impersonation of Al in a high pressured political situation is the great American known as Bill Daley. I think any citizen (R or D)of our great country cringed when "I'm in control" Al made his great moment.

Just as when Bill D seized control of the election with his BS rhetoric and his cute concession to not contest Texas. Ha Ha. Bill Daley is slime.

The Republican position has been consistent throughout this process. I'm sure the media has done its job in distorting the reality on both sides. Although I know now that Al "The Divider" is going to win

ps. I have gained a great appreciation for David Boies. He doesn't appear to give a crap who pays his bills he is just appears to be in this for the pursuit of a legal/intellectual challenge. My impression is that if his POV was adopted by all we'd end up with something that everyone would accept.

Cheers,
JIM
