Joe, it's beginning to appear that the high techs are not going to lead the market. How to play the techs right now? From my point of view, it's better to wait on the sidelines and let it play out rather than fighting the trend.

I was wondering if anyone saw John Murphy's economic cycle sector rotation graph.

Curious if anyone could spot where we are in the cycle.

I'm still bullish on natural gas. Demand vs Supply is the engine at work. Earlier this week, NG hit a new all time, but hit a cliff when weather forecasts called for a mild winter. It's going to be a bumpy ride, but the trend for NG is UP.

From today's Barron's:

<Why are the energy markets so nervous? Because inventories are dangerously low. Stores of natural gas are 9% below year-ago levels. Last week, the American Gas Association reported that users withdrew stocks -- instead of boosting them -- for the first time since April.

The rapid expansion of natural gas due to new-home construction and homes being converted from heating oil to gas means it's highly unlikely we'll ever see natural gas trade at year-ago levels. The days of $3 or $4 gas are behind us. >

Amex Natural Gas Index has a gap that needs a fill:
207.61.23.98

Looking specifically at CHK:
207.61.23.98

For short term, something I learned from Ken W.... stock has been trapped between the 10 day and the 50 day MA. Perfect roller set-up until the avgs. converge and the trend pushes the stock higher.

Sergio

ps Uconn and Iowa are both in SIs top 20 season preview.
