Freedom works sort of.

Freedom has not worked so well for a generation of black men in prison in this country. Freedom has not worked so well for the non violent drug offenders we lock up. Freedom is relative- and we, in this country, are not really free. We are limited by all sorts of things. You can say citizens of the US are free and that "freedom works"- but that doesn't make us really free, and that doesn't mean "freedom works".

We have limited individual freedoms. We can't walk naked down the street. We can't drink and drive. We can't walk down a public sidewalk with a brew. Why in California you can't even smoke in a public place. Now I don't really MIND those things, but we certainly aren't free.
