"Sarge" telling the men to fill out the ballot A slight exageration. Surely you don't think that all those soldiers and sailers individually sent away for absentee ballots either. Some do, and probably do it well. The rest just have their name on a list, the republicans fill out the requests and dump them at the county office. That's why there were reports of some sailors complaining that they didn't get ballots. They never requested them and they weren't in a precient that the republicans thought was worth requesting them. TP
