<< Could be, but we've been running into the problem that people with systems that are really too slow for the work that they're doing refuse upgrades because they have all of their applications installed and configured just the way they want them. The system seems (to them) to be fast enough, and they don't want to go through the disruption of moving to a newer system. Hard for a PC junkie to comprehend, but I've seen this behavior fairly often. >> All that's required to fix that is a way to keep the data when you swap the rest of the hardware.
